With his mellow, slightly gravelly vocals, Jordan Carp sounds a little like Peter Gabriel at his most earnest but without all the world-music influences. Carp’s third album, “The Dark Architecture”, has provocative lyrics, engaging grooves, and some colorful electronica. Though one of the tracks is “Giant in a Tiny Universe”, most of Carp’s songs seem to address feeling a little small and lost in a big world. The Boston singer-songwriter may be poised to launch.
